I have three habits that conflict me on whether or not to buy a kindle
I hear a book on TV or whatever that sounds good I always want to read it I write it down but lose the paper and forget about it when I go to the book store or library or whatever I forget to even look for it. Pro-Kindle
I like to read random as hell books off the wall extremely niche books are always on my to read list I would say like 10% falls into this category. Nay-Kindle
And third I have piles and piles of books that I have read but are now just taking up space and are a shame to throw away or give away because sometimes I do reference them for a quote or two or see them and think about what I gained from them. (the organizations of these aren't out of control or crazy just not sustainable forever I guess) Pro-Kindle
And kind of like a 3b I have some books that were gems and I hold sacred and am glad that I still have physically and am glad that I have and will keep as a apart of my book collection for years to come. Nay-Kindle
I know this is a personal preference and there are ways to get around each problem but for 299...its not really the price but that it is a price so-to-speak. No matter what it is, its not free and i am just saying i don't want to throw away my money.
And speaking of basic economics Amazon is the only game in town what if Amazon decides to discontinue the books or program or ups the price of the books. What do you think of the likely hood that this will be a long term good investment?
Thoughts and opinions especially for those who have a kindle appreciated.

Personally I love kindle.I love reading and don’t want to take heavy books everywhere.Kindle books price is cheaper and I don’t think that amazon will to discontinue the books or program.

I own the Kindle 2 and I like it. I’m an avid reader, I got my Kindle a few months ago and I think I’ve read over 30 books with the Kindle. No glitches so far!
However, I’ve still bought one book in paper edition after I’ve the Kindle. It is not a common book so it is not available for the Kindle yet. It is just fine, because now I only need to reserve a little space in my bookshelf and I can expect most of my new books will be on the Kindle.
One thing I like the Kindle, is that sometimes when I’ve some time and don’t know what to read, I’ll just get a free book from the Kindle store. There are some really good books there, and I enjoy the reading very much.

Quite a number of my friends own the Kindle and they all like it. I’m saving my money and plan to get mine once I saved enough money too.
