I've been looking at the Amazon Kindle or the Sony Reader...I didn't know if one was better than the other, or is there an even better brand?

Hi, definitely these two are the best. I prefer Kindle because the Kindle book store has so many books and it’s easy to download them. I’ve tried a Sony Reader and it displayed pdf’s in better quality but that was the only advantage over Kindle. Actually, Sony and Kindle are quite similar.
If you are on the fence about this, here is a website where there is a Kindle and Sony Ereader comparison chart, video and other types of review, specifications, etc.
Hope it helps!
Sony Reader and Amazon Kindle are the two best and most popular digital book readers right now. However, if you’re in the United States, you should definitely go for the Kindle. Here is a comparison of it with the Sony Reader:
I’m a Kindle 2 owner, so let me give you some more of my opinions. The advantage of the Kindle over Sony Reader include free wireless access, more content support, and the text-to-speech function. I like the text-to-speech function especially, because I can “read” books without even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I’ve myself busy on some boring things, say when I’m on the step machine or doing some housework…
I love my Kindle because it has helped me improve a lot on my efficiency and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I’m waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing like that is simply wasted. Now I just need to bring the Kindle 2 along with me. It is so light weight and handy, and it makes me like to read even more than I have in the past.
I like reading and at the beginning I missed a bit on the feeling of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seems to work very well, it is really like reading books… Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don’t feel tired…
This is my opinion and hope it helps. And I remember I read this review when I decide to buy the Kindle 2. See if it helps:
Kindle: Amazon’s 6″ Wireless Reading Device (Latest Generation)
If you are in the U.S., I’ll suggest you to go for the Kindle instead of Sony Reader. Read the review here to know more:
I owned the Kindle 2 and I like it very much. It is better than Sony Reader because Amazon provide good content support, and the number of books available in Kindle format is kept on increasing (right now there are over 300,000 Kindle books). Sony Reader, however, many users complaint that it is difficult to find suitable books. Other benefits of the Kindle over Sony Reader include the free wireless internet access, and the text-to-speech function. It worth to pay a bit more for the Kindle 2 and you won’t regret.
Hope this helps.
It is definitely the Kindle. It has more functions and getting books for the Kindle is much cheaper than that on the Sony Reader.
And I’ll recommend you to read this review for the Kindle 2. It is the best one I’ve ever read:
Hope this helps you making up the decision.
It is the Kindle DX for sure, which includes native PDF support. Read this review for more details. The Kindle DX is now out of stock, but if you get it now it will be shipped once it becomes available again (around a month I think).
Another best one is the Kindle 2. If you’re choosing between the Kindle 2 and Kindle DX, I think this review will help:
